Dear Valkyrie sisters, I know it's been very hard — a whole month with no news and no official statements. But hear me out, and maybe this will help.
Let me say upfront that I'm not claiming I'm right. These are just my thoughts out loud. Whether you agree or not is entirely up to you. I just want to support everyone taking part in the boycott.
Despite Infold's silence, a few incredible things happened today.
• First, an anti somehow got moderator access on Weibo and deleted up to 1,000 Valko-related posts — but she was removed quickly after reports, and the posts were restored. On top of that, a lot of new posts appeared. (Source: https://t.co/Zq5EfpKFbi)
• Second, we've started getting even more active support from people outside the LADS fandom, because everyone is sick of CDG and YTM acting like they're emperors. Their behavior will never be supported by a normal gaming community anywhere. (Source: https://t.co/8MJkUK6KwA)
• Third, the anti-cyberbullying law has passed. So I sincerely hope this helps our Chinese sisters fight the antis who cross the line on their own side. Their main weapon can become a double-edged sword now and turn on them. (Source: https://t.co/uA4pCXLKqD)
But let's stop, take a breath, and think. All these deadlines — July 29, August 2 — we're inventing them ourselves, looking for signs. Or picking them up from someone's words. Yes, it's easier and more comfortable for our brains to hold on to a specific date than to sit with uncertainty. But back at the start of the boycott I already expected that this could unfortunately drag on longer than a week, or even longer than a month. Not a year, obviously. But not that fast either. If you're setting some date for yourself personally, before you leave for good — that's fine. But I would still like to ask you not to spread numbers like that, because unfortunately they only hurt us.
Understand the main thing. The antis got results quickly because destroying is always easier than building. They used vile slander and touched on sensitive topics in their country in order to force the company to act on their whim. Damaging a reputation is far easier than rebuilding one. One way or another, the damage was done, and part of the blame lies with Infold themselves — they should have vetted the material in the game better, and not ignored the community for months, handing people like that more leverage over themselves. But then again, people like that just invent complaints out of thin air — there's no guarantee they won't find something to latch onto, so unfortunately no one is ever going to be careful enough... Also we didn't know it would go this far either, or we would have stood up for Valko much earlier. And people like that damage many games. That's a fact.
Either way: it's okay if you're tired. Rest. Stop checking the news, distract yourself with another game or a movie. Recover and come back to us with new strength.
I have no guarantees for you. Nobody does. But I believe we're moving in exactly the direction we're all waiting for. So please, take care of yourselves 💚🐺

and no matter how much people like to pretend it was for representation, grammys introduced their little asian category to keep them away from the main one so they can keep rewarding their american artists freely. I am glad the boys are stepping away from the racist shitshow

Every week there’s a new rumor… Look at the damage this is doing to the community. We’re all anxious and want answers, but they’ll come eventually. Engaging with a rumor, whether it turns out to be true or not, won’t change the future. It’ll only create chaos in the present #BringBackValko #Valkoisloved
