Remember even the US saw defeat of Germany as the priority, hence sending 90% of their army to the European Theatre of Operations. (Europe did not have much scope for naval ops, so USN could concentrate their efforts there)

There was attached to ANZAC at Gallipoli the 29th Indian Brigade which included the 14th King George's Own Ferozepore Sikhs!

Overall India provided many more Divisions to Empire forces in both world wars than Australia did, though often in different theatres of combat.
