पिछले पाँच वर्षों में भारत के सहकारिता आंदोलन ने विकास, विस्तार और नवाचार की एक नई यात्रा तय की है। कृषि ऋण तक सीमित रहने वाली सहकारिता आज डेयरी, मत्स्य पालन, चीनी उद्योग, परिवहन सहित अनेक क्षेत्रों में अपनी सशक्त उपस्थिति दर्ज करा चुकी है। यह परिवर्तन केवल गतिविधियों के विस्तार का प्रतीक नहीं, बल्कि ग्रामीण भारत के आर्थिक और सामाजिक सशक्तीकरण का भी प्रमाण है।

आज सहकारिता ऑनलाइन सीएससी सेवाओं, पेट्रोल पंपों, उचित मूल्य की दुकानों तथा कस्टम हायरिंग सेंटर जैसी विविध सुविधाओं के माध्यम से ग्रामीण जीवन को अधिक सुलभ, समृद्ध और आत्मनिर्भर बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही है। यह उपलब्धियाँ इस बात का सशक्त उदाहरण हैं कि जब सामूहिक शक्ति, सहभागिता और सेवा का भाव एक साथ जुड़ते हैं, तब समृद्धि का मार्ग स्वतः प्रशस्त होता है।

इन्हीं ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धियों और सहकारिता की इस प्रेरणादायी यात्रा का उत्सव मनाने के उद्देश्य से सहकारिता मंत्रालय 6 जुलाई को "सहकार से समृद्धि के 5 साल" विषय पर एक विशेष आयोजन आयोजित कर रहा है। यह अवसर न केवल बीते पाँच वर्षों की उपलब्धियों का उत्सव है, बल्कि सहकारिता के माध्यम से विकसित भारत के निर्माण के संकल्प को और अधिक सुदृढ़ करने का भी अवसर है।

मैं सभी सहकारी संस्थाओं, सहकारी साथियों तथा देशवासियों से आग्रह करता हूँ कि इस महत्वपूर्ण आयोजन में सहभागिता करें और "सहकार से समृद्धि" के इस जन-आंदोलन को घर-घर और जन-जन तक पहुँचाने में अपनी सक्रिय भूमिका निभाएँ।

सहकार ही समृद्धि का आधार है, और समृद्ध भारत का भविष्य भी।

भारत सरकार द्वारा वर्ष 2014 से अब तक लगभग 26 करोड़ मृदा स्वास्थ्य कार्ड जारी किए गए हैं, जिससे किसानों को फसल संबंधी बेहतर निर्णय लेने में मदद मिली है। साथ ही, करीब 8 करोड़ किसान क्रेडिट कार्ड खाते खोले गए हैं और 7,400 से अधिक किसान मेलों का आयोजन कर कृषि ज्ञान और जागरूकता को बढ़ावा दिया गया है।

Yesterday, I arrived in Bhubaneswar with my wife, Smt. Mamta Patel @mamtakjpatel ji, to be with the IFFCO Paradeep family and take part in the Republic Day celebrations at the Paradeep Unit. It is a matter of great pride and joy to celebrate this significant national occasion together. During the visit, I will also tour the plant and interact with our employees and officials. I am truly delighted by the warm and gracious welcome extended by the Unit Head, Shri P. K. Mahapatra ji, along with other officials.

During my visit and the alumni meet, I had the privilege of interacting with an eminent alumnus of our college, Shri Arjun Modhwadia @arjunmodhwadia, Hon’ble Minister of Forests and Environment, Climate Change, Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat. Shri Arjun Modhwadia belongs to the 1981 batch of Mechanical Engineering, while I am from the 1984 batch. Meeting him was truly a pleasant and enriching experience. We exchanged thoughts and ideas. The interaction was both inspiring and meaningful. Later, we captured these memorable moments by clicking photographs along with other alumni, making the occasion even more special.

It was deeply nostalgic to stand once again before my old hostel building of my college. As I walked through its corridors, long forgotten memories came rushing back, as if time had gently unfolded its pages for me. I had lived in this hostel during the final year of my college life, just before leaving Morbi to begin a new journey. Every wall seemed to speak to me, every window and door appeared to welcome me back, carrying echoes of those unforgettable days. It felt as though the hostel itself was embracing me, reminding me of the dreams, friendships, and moments that shaped who I am today.

I recently had a meaningful interaction with Ms. Laxmi, a highly respected senior journalist and fertiliser & agriculture sector expert from Press Trust of India (PTI). Our discussion focused on the road ahead for IFFCO, the world’s largest processed fertiliser cooperative.

I shared my vision for IFFCO’s future, highlighting our pioneering work in Nano Fertilisers, our strong commitment to research and development for new innovative products, and our continued focus on farmer education and large-scale promotion of nano products. We also discussed strategic initiatives such as securing raw materials through overseas joint ventures.

This interaction provided an opportunity to outline the priorities that will shape IFFCO’s growth, sustainability, and leadership in global agriculture in the years to come.
