@JCRyle Faith vs. Presumption: True faith trusts God's character and timing (Isaiah 55:8-9), while presumption tries to dictate His will.
Focus on God's Glory: In all things, especially prayer for healing, our ultimate goal should be His glory (1 Peter 4:11).
@JoshuaBarzon I read the covenants as they appear in Scripture—Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, and the New Covenant—and let the Bible define their relationship rather than fitting them into a theological circle.
@5solas I have not attended this church, but if this is "consumer gospel" then we are seeing the issue with 'church' in the western culture. If the Gospel of Jesus Christ is center to all of this, then carry on.
@JoshuaBarzon The Church is Christ's Body, built on His Word. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone, not human terms. (Eph 2:8-9). catholic, meaning universal, it includes all who trust in Christ, regardless of their location or specific denominational affiliation (Matt 16:18).
@JoshuaBarzon The universal church includes all true believers in Christ, past, present, and future (1 Cor 12:12-13; Eph 4:4-6). It's spiritual now; its full, perfected form awaits Christ's return. In this present age, the church experiences imperfections. The ultimate unity is yet to come.
@SpeakerJohnson The reality is no one can perfectly live up to this on their own. The Bible teaches all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Rom 3:23). This is why Jesus is so essential. For those in Christ, God promises to work in us and to act according to His good purpose (Phil 2:13).

@JoshuaBarzon@joshbyers@visualtheology Salvation in the Bible is based on faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (John 3:16, Romans 10:9–10). While the Trinity is a core Christian teaching and I think an important on as we walk daily and learn daily, belief in Christ is the dividing line for salvation.
@DrJackHughes They have only produced lab results but limited field results (condensation, guided lightning), but they do not, and cannot today, let anyone reliably control large-scale weather systems. Psalm 135:6-7; Job 37:5-13; Jeremiah 10:12-13; Matthew 8:26-27
@JCRyle Before there were any denominations, traditions, or religious systems, Jesus Himself made this clear and exclusive claim: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
"Without the Spirit of God we can do nothing. We are as ships without wind or chariots without steeds. Like branches without sap, we are withered..." Spurgeon
