@chrisman I am considering a Waldorf school for my 5 year old girl next year for similar reasons. I want her to play, get outside, be creative, and read for pleasure.

She struggles to sit still during circle time. All she wants to do right now is run/jump/wrestle/battle/climb.

@bendreyfuss Ben, the white people taco comes from growing up in a place like Minnesota in the 1980s and 90s.

This is what I thought a taco was until I was in my early 20s and moved to Denver and LA. I still remember marveling at how strange a street taco was.

Niko Medved on the fans: I just refuse, and I have since I got here, I refuse to say that we can’t build this thing back. College basketball matters in the Twin Cities, it really does, it’s our job to make it matter. It’s games like this that start to get that going again. I love having the students rush the court, it’s supposed to be fun. You want them to come to the game and enjoy being there, rush the court, see us win. They go home and they had a blast, well you know what, they’re probably going to show up Friday too…and they’re probably going to bring their friends, I hope they do. I really appreciated the crowd so much.

@HippyMomPhD When I was in HS/college homeschoolers stood out because they were just a little odd. They would make small social faux pas and not realize it. Heck I married a homeschooler and I noticed this!

Now I see people saying this is a feature not a bug, and I agree.

I have a 5 year old so we get most books from the library, but if they turn out to be books she re-reads frequently (Dogman/Captain Underpants/Andy and Terry) then I buy them.
