@AlanMCole@MattZeitlin Had a guy pull this maneuver on me and plow right into a man in the crosswalk. Unsure if he survived. When the cops came, the driver indignantly explained that he hadn’t seen the pedestrian because a car was blocking his view — meaning me, the guy who stopped for a pedestrian.
@SamuelAAdams I'm the last person on earth who should judge anyone for wasting their time, but the idea of spending hours panning for five-year-old problematic likes in the feed of some newly famous person...kinda bleak.
@ttarahaynes It’s super frustrating how Turning Red and Luca, two excellent films that did something really different with the Pixar formula and *were not released in theaters due to the pandemic*, have somehow become the go-to examples of the studio’s commercial decline.
Two weeks ago, we woke up to learn that the site would no longer be publishing, and we were all laid off. This came with no warning, no indication to anyone that anything was wrong.
Today, they took down the entire site, and everything on it.
What a colossal waste.

In December, we launched.
By early May, we had published more than 2000 articles with a staff of six — news, interviews, reviews, reported features, long-read essays — amassing nearly a million unique users…
I simply adored this man. I can’t imagine knowing him and not adoring him. A perpetual font of wisdom and good humor even in the worst of circumstances. It was a privilege to work with him and know him.
