Barkscape Chronicles

Capturing the beauty and abstract arts of Tree Bark.

[Barkscape Chronicles @barkscapechn]

@markdennison It is very much Spring, and actually getting High Winds, Hail/Snow in Spring is not unusual as it has happened on countless times before.

@imageproject_nb Definitely a Honey Buzzard, the colours are what confirm that 😊

[Barkscape Chronicles @barkscapechn]

@imageproject_nb On a second look, it's possible that it's a Honey Buzzard

[Barkscape Chronicles @barkscapechn]

There really is something truly amazing about Tree Bark, it is a work of art within its own rights.

[Glenys Garnett @ggcimages]

The bark on this tree reminded me of the images of peeling paint made by Aaron Siskind

"Tentecals."

The same tree that gave the previous photo I posted earlier entitled "The Octopus" this time around I could see more Tentecals within the Tree Bark I was looking at.

Tree bark and growth across and around the tree bark looking like the tentecals of an Octopus.

"Like Death Valley."

Yes, the light was just catching this #Treebark beautifully, but the mind was thinking that it looked like the surface of #DeathValley

@markdennison We've had the #Auroraborealis over the East Midlands on countless times before

"Broken and Layers."

There was just something about this #Treebark yesterday, various broken elements but layers of Bark as well creating abstract artwork.

#AsSeenInPrint | Research has shown that time in green spaces can lower blood pressure, improve the immune system and boost creativity.

@njburnell's soothing images inspire us to see the beauty of the outdoors.

"Catching the light of the Colony."

Amazing isn't what miniature worlds you can find on a tree. A photo taken yesterday of fungus growing on a tree at Heanor Memorial Park in #Derbyshire looking like an alien Colony or City.

"Cliffs of Bark.".

A trip to the historic 15th century #GreasleyChurch in #Nottinghamshire yesterday, was one of delight and beauty, yet somehow the bark of this tree lower down looked like a series of costal cliffs.

"Colony of life. A miniature world."

Sometimes something makes you stop and pause, for that is what happened this morning at #ShipleyPark in #Derbyshire as I came across this tree bark which looked like a Colony of life and a Minitaure world.
