@Metallix87@Jeffleez28@AleixRB@yago_quinoy@Der_Fisch@SaffronOlive I don’t know if this card will see play or not but if there’s a 4 drop or set of 4 drops that are worth getting out on t3 I can imagine this being part of that strategy (Brightglass Gearhulk comes to mind)
@Metallix87@Jeffleez28@AleixRB@yago_quinoy@Der_Fisch@SaffronOlive Many of these ramp decks don’t hugely care about wasting their turn 1. We’ve demonstrated time and time again that paying for effects in instalments makes them wayyy better. 1+2 mana is a lot more appealing than 3 mana. Especially when the lifegain can mitigate the durdly plan.
@Dunkatog I'm sure there will be an official ruling soon but can I get a preliminary ruling on how many cards I will draw if I Skullclamp a Cloud, Midgar Mercenary?
@SpencerKSL@JJ_McCullough The Westminster model is pretty good at giving the illusion that smaller parties matter, even though they don't. The solution is not to change the communication to make it obvious how little they matter but to enact electoral reform to make them actually matter.
@SaffronOlive@carriekelly641 This is mostly just semantics but I do think it makes some sense that formats with large cash prizes endorsed by WotC are governed differently to community run formats. There are medium stakes Pauper, CEDH, Canlander etc. events but they are not quite on par with standard
@SomeBigBloke@SaffronOlive@JFihockeynut Triggers on target not resolution. The first ping never won't resolve unless the bowmaster dies or the Surrak dies a different way
@SaffronOlive@JFihockeynut If you have free interaction in your deck you have the opportunity to turn it around from ‘lose the game’ to ‘draw 20 and they have a 20/20 orc’
@Em_TeeGee@KateMetalBard It’s also very strange given that Canlander doesn’t play particularly similarly to EDH. Any similarities are pretty superficial
