Ok we’ll fly you out to Chicago and put you up in a hotel @StevieJohnson13 but just a heads up Rico Bosco (the guy from the famous Endicott interception video) is our defensive back🔒
So then.. From the West and Midlands Division we mentioned a bit about the Relegation Playoffs...
During the week, the dates and rules regarding the Step 4/5 Playoffs were revealed by the FA.
All teams finishing 17th and 18th in our Step 4 Leagues (East, Midlands and West for us in the @PitchingIn_ NPL) will play a one off match as hosts against one of the 2nd placed sides of each of the Step 5 County Leagues.
HOWEVER
Due to the withdrawal of a side at Step 4, there is a reprival spot available for any of the sides finishing in 17th place, which will go to the side with the best PPG record across the 8 Step 4. This will cancel one of the playoffs meaning the side at Step 5 with the greatest PPG will be automatically promoted
If any sides are ineligible to take part from Step 5 then the next 17th placed side will then be reprieved.
If any further reprieves be required at Step 4 then the next eligible Step 5 side on PPG will be promoted.
From the remaining pool of clubs, the ties will be decided Geographically then on a PPG basis with the highest PPG at Step 4 facing the lowest PPG from Step 5 and so on (Subject to the sole discretion of the FA). Matches are intended to be revealed on Sunday 23rd April.
Matches will take place on the weekend of the 29th April and where a match is drawn the tie will go straight to Penalties.
Attached below are the current standings of all 8 Step 4 leagues (in which @Widnes_FC currently hold the first reprieve spot)
All team involvement is subject to FA Ratification and any appeal processes as with last season.
