@Maryian96 Sifuna is a national leader, not a communal kingpin. This is not your career politician you are used to. Times have changed and you better shape up.
A child was shot eight times. When the President was asked about it, his response was: “The child is still alive, right?” Read that again. A child. Eight bullets. Somehow you still want to convince us to vote for the same regime again.
Young Kenyans went to the streets to oppose the Finance Bill. More than 60 were killed. Bodies were later found in an abandoned quarry. Some had horrific injuries. Some had reportedly been beaten to death. Others were burnt. Some bodies were reportedly found stuffed into sacks. You still want to give us lectures about why you will vote for this regime again.
An unarmed man selling masks was shot dead on camera. You saw it. We saw it. The whole country saw it. Yet somehow, you still want us to look away and vote for the same people. Both CS and Kasongo have encouraged police to use force against unarmed people, young, unarmed Kenyans. You still want to convince us about Tutam.
Young Kenyans were abducted for speaking against the government. Some disappeared. Some returned traumatised and with unexplained injuries. Families were left searching, waiting and praying for their loved ones. You still want to tell us Tutam.
What exactly are we supposed to ignore? The dead? The abducted? The injured? The mothers burying their children? The families demanding justice? The young people whose only crime was standing up and saying they were dissatisfied with their government?
At what point does politics stop being about tribes, parties and personalities and become about basic human decency? At what point do you look at all this and say, “Enough. I cannot support a government that has presided over this level of suffering.” You don't have to support Sifuna. You don't have to support Maraga. You don't have to support Omtata. Support whoever you want, but at least have a conscience.
If the killing of young Kenyans, abductions, disappearances, brutality and families crying for justice still aren't enough to make you reconsider your support, then what exactly would it take? Politics should never cost us our humanity. No government is worth losing your conscience over.
@MKuringia@cathy_mutuku True, he has actually been forced to release him earlier than intended because of of the political heat coming from Sifuna and Gachagua.
