@ArchonSaxon The Arctic Ocean often was navigable all the way around and sealers traveled between continents on the sea ice. The Pan arctic culture morphology and genetics was very real from about 100-20kya in Northern modern humans.

@shi_huang5 Archaic pygmies (when known for this trait) had relatively low subnasal prognathy, and relatively very small brains. Juvenile orangutans have Homo grade rounding high domed skulls, and high prognathy as do some juvenile bonobos.

@shi_huang5 C Loring Brace for many good reasons did not think either prognathy of skin color is very useful for human phylogenetics. Low prognathy is a result of more modern tool use (C Loring Brace). Tools spread between different populations over time.

@shi_huang5 This however is true for living, not fossil populations. Grimaldians (NW Italy) were very highly prognathic even comparted to Africans as were some other EEMH. Sardinia 1 like the Qazfeh skulls were highly prognathic.

People who push their politics by or against the Solutrean hypothesis are in general ignorant of the evidence and how to interpret it for what they do know of it. It is not offensive to most Native Americans that they had some Irish and Solutrean ancestry before Colombo.

@MillerFrie84 Native Americans mostly came from the Far North and the Far South so natuirally preserve a lot of traits from the South of Sahul and the North of Eurasia. By about 10kya not many people made it from the Americas to Eurasia because of large animal husbandry related diseases.

@MillerFrie84 Early skulls from Brazil have an EEMH aspect. This however can be because there was a general Pan Arctic morphology from about 40kya to about 20kya for modern humans. Mixing was trans polar much more than South to North or North to South.

@MillerFrie84 Solutreans were at least 500 years (probably much longer) too late to be the first Americans. Solutreans were tall and slender relative to Gravettians suggesting Native American and / or North African mixing.

@MillerFrie84 Caucasoid happened more than once from dark skin (negr''d) modern humans mixing with archaic Eurasians with caucasoid traits. The Jomon were founded by Eastern neanderthals (C Loring Brace, the expert on the Jomon and Ainu).
