By fitting Owl boxes, we know they can be a home for other birds inc Doves and Jackdaw. Not often we find a Mandarin Duck though! This female is incubating a clutch of 11 eggs in a Tawny Owl box on the reserve while the males prance around on the pond ๐๐ฆ https://t.co/3oGmTUoPUZ
@Paul__Browning_ We call them floaters or drifters as they aren't tied down to one area until they find a mate. We would really appreciate if you could add this sighting to our UK Survey Website: https://t.co/ygDBlh9JTb. Thanks!๐ฆ
