Barra Children’s Centre are delighted to be awarded £2000 from the CalMac Community Fund to contribute towards the promotion of water safety among children on Barra & Vatersay.
Thanks to CalMac & Foundation Scotland for supporting us in our aims with their generous award.
The Best Start Grant School Age Payment is £250 to support eligible families with the costs of having a child starting Primary 1 (or who have deferred entry). Applications are open until the 28th February.

With immediate effect ferry companies will no longer take non-essential travellers.
From now on Ferries will be for those who live on our islands, who have an essential need to travel to or from the mainland and for essential supplies or business. Nothing else.
