PING ON IMPEACHMENT TRIAL: 'RIGHT IS MIGHT'

Senator-elect Ping Lacson on Monday, June 9, expressed hope that the Senate minority—composed of Senators Koko Pimentel and Risa Hontiveros—will prevail in the upcoming impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte.

Ladies and gentlemen, let it be written in our history that the Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Vice President Sara Duterte, Senator Imee Marcos, Senator Bato Dela Rosa and Senator Bong Go sided with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy today.

We must remember this day especially when the time comes that all of his crimes are out in the open, as more victims surface and the trial in court starts — these elected incumbent and former officials sided with him today.

I didn’t know that there would come a time when people would ask a president to resign to protect a fugitive who is accused of heinous crimes. RAPE, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, CHILD MOLESTATION, SEXUAL ABUSE amongst a long list of other things.

I didn’t know there would come a time when I would read statements from elected officials openly protecting a man who doesn’t even respect the law enough to face his cases. Worse? Their supporters blindly follow.

The truth of the matter is simple. If Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is innocent, he will face the charges against him or even just provide an explanation. Do not let your support of Duterte lead you into also supporting someone being accused of heinous crime… the evidence is strong enough, he’s even one of the FBI’s Most Wanted List. That’s how serious this is.

The commotion in Davao City, the noise in social media and all this fiasco will tell you one thing… that the police might be right. Quiboloy is in that compound.

With the whole nation, I sincerely hope that the police successfully find Pastor Quiboloy and let the trials of his cases role. For the sake of his victims!
