@heymrsbond Meanwhile English teachers everywhere are saving this thread for use as the opening activity to get Ss engaged in learning! Vocab, debates, social media - fits so many lessons! π
@GiftedTawk Year 21. Best I can do is 1)give myself permission to prioritize myself when needed 2)go back to the books/professionals I've found inspiring in the past & 3)Most valuable- talk to my Ss. A real convo, not about our class. It always fills my bucket and reminds me of my "why"
@daynajonesmusic @sassyheathen @ObsessedTeach I have their Edison Deck and love it! It gives a prompt for coming up with a list of 10 answers - has to be 10! Encourages more creative thinking and (imo) promotes perseverance.
@sassyheathen @ObsessedTeach Maybe something like Tech Byte/Tech Tip Thursday. I feel like there are often usability features of drive, classroom, calendar, tasks, etc that I'm surprised older Ss don't know about, but there also isn't time to explicitly teach it.
@Jayniewise @k8roulette2 Not questioning the data, I would really like to read the article or book you are referencing. Can you please share the source? Thanks!
We were inspired by @Zachanner and his quest for the everything bagel. Then we investigated accessibility in our own school. Now they are taking on all kinds of areas; schools, communities, policies, where we can do better.
My Ss are trying to make the world a better place for individuals with different abilities. Human Centered Design = one of the best parts of my school year!! #innovate68#GDD19
A huge thank you to Mr. Shah from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission who came to my classes today. It was an awesome experience! @Woodridge68@JeffersonJH68#innovate68
