Tonight we honoured two 2021 Cougars in a personalized Awards Ceremony. Ty Hartman received the Danny Proulx and Alex Underhill received the Glenn Andrews.
It was too warm to loiter for long but we are extremely proud of these two grads.

Today is an important day. Grade 7 class GRIT projects (wax museum research project - who do you want to learn about?) and grade 8-12 individual passion projects are showcased today.
Even the heat doesn’t stop a Cougar!

ALERT!
Because of the extreme heat, SD73 is suspending bus service for students for the last days of the school year.
“We believe it is not safe to transport students to and from school in unairconditioned buses,” said Superintendent Terry Sullivan.
Thank you, Jacob, for the gift of your time, commitment and talent in this paddle that will adorn the wall of our school. #grad2021#itisagreatdaytobeacougar
This morning we celebrated #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay.
It is a privilege to work, learn, live and be on the traditional, unceded territory of the Simpcw people.
And 💥. We celebrate another cohort of Cougars leaving our Den. Our Courtyard Commencement is complete!
We have the parade and movie hosted by the families tomorrow evening. The main drag in Barriere is where you’ll want to be at 5:30 Saturday.
Missy Kjellstrom will play this locally significant historical violin for the next 12 months. Donated by the family of Jack Stewart, this 1917 Schonfelder violin was gifted to him in the 1930s. It's an inspiring story. Congrats, Missy! 🎻❤️https://t.co/8L9kcGb1lg?
Thank you @Kamloops_SD73 for the Legacy Grant! Matching dollar grant to help resurface our basketball court area adjacent to our school building. This is a win for our school community AND for Barriere and area. #itsagreatdaytobeacougar
Ms. Stott, our Pandemic Principal, Lunch Lady and library renovator, will be leaving our Cougar den at the end of this school year.
We are looking forward to welcoming @mrjtyler as our incoming principal. It's going to be great!

Although we are sad to see @briantommasini leave us for Sa-Hali as a VP for September, we are looking forward to @mr_clipboards taking on the role of Physical and Health Education teacher and Athletic Director!
Welcome Mr. Repka!

Dear Parents and Guardians: We have posted advice from the NACTATR - How to talk to children about the trauma of finding 215 children buried at the former Kamloops Residential School. https://t.co/FZYam7hLjN
Today our school is one stop on @Kamloops_SD73’s Curiosity Cab Learning Tour.
We’re looking forward to having our guests see & hear what a senior science class looks like when a teacher gets curious about engagement & goes gradeless.

The big library reveal. We can’t wait any longer to share this space with a wider audience. We have a vibrant collection, a bright space and a hub for activity in our school! Thank you @Kamloops_SD73 Legacy Grant and crew who did the work... & are still finishing up loose ends.
