Punishments, scoldings, & F's won't change students' attitudes toward learning. Kindness, trust, active listening, and never giving up on supporting students empowers them to find their why, grow and change. @ERobbPrincipal@KFelicello@vrkimmel@ritaplatt @RitaWirtz
In fact, I’m pretty sure the actual reason we aren’t facing a second govt shutdown is that Hutchison sent Ronnie Robinson to DC this weekend. #crisisaverted @Kristenring1972 @hutchisonus
I enjoyed meeting and talking with these bright students from @HutchisonSchool this morning. I am glad we were able to tour you around our nation’s Capitol and that I could take you onto the House floor!
I recently stepped in and taught five 80 minute 9th grade English classes. It was great. What I remembered: class five is really hard, but they deserve the same energy as class one. Hang in there, all teachers with many of the same prep!
All 55 5th graders worked together over the past 2 days in our Innovation Lab to create a book about what they have learned about the human body. They want to give their book to the 4th grade @HutchisonSchool girls to share their learning. It was a great 2 days! @hutchisonms

Kick off 2019 the right way--by reading and discussing Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Americanah during our members-only winter book club! https://t.co/OwCxvEDTUw
Teaching is not perfectible. Just when you think you have it down, God sends you 36 ninth graders who bring you to your knees.
And who make you a better teacher.
