On August, 12, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., emergency services responded to a structure fire on Water Street that spread to a neighbouring property on College Street in Kitchener.

Damage is estimated at $100K–$200K. The cause of the fire is unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
