Andy, this is simply not true. I have already had one 3-letter account stolen via this, and they are still actively resetting the password on another 4-letter brand of mine.

How do I recover my stolen account and prevent them from resetting the password on my other accounts?

@manipulate Thank you for raising this. While we have already secured impacted accounts, we are now working to restore access to affected individuals. Some people may receive password reset notifications and some may be asked security questions when they try and log into their accounts.

@andymstone @howfxr How are the impacted accounts being secured? My three letter handle that I have had for many years was stolen/swapped, even with 2fa enabled, and there is no way to currently recover it.

It reminds me of “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”, but the opposite is true.

Pacifism in the face of evil is what blinds the world, because evil doesn’t stop when you refuse to fight it. It spreads.
