His mother was crying.
Mother: “Why didn’t you tell us?”
The lawyer answered.
“He asked me not to.”
His brother looked at his sister-in-law.
Brother: “Did you know?”
She shook her head.
Wife: “I had no idea.”
The brother sat down.
Brother: “He really loved you.”
She nodded through her tears.
Wife: “He did.”
His mother walked toward her.
For a moment, neither woman spoke.
Then his mother hugged her.
Mother: “I’m sorry.”
She began crying.
Mother: “I thought you were taking my son away from us.”
The wife whispered:
Wife: “I would never have done that.”
His mother held her tighter.
Mother: “He was right about you.”
Wife: “About what?”
Mother: “You never wanted his money.”
She looked at the will.
Mother: “You wanted him.”
The wife smiled sadly.
Wife: “I’d give every dollar back if it meant having one more day with him.”
Nobody spoke.
The inheritance had made her a millionaire.
But it couldn’t give her the one thing she actually wanted.
One more conversation with the man who had loved her quietly long before she ever knew it.
Conservative campaigns often use misleading statistics to discredit #Trudeau's government, using tactics like inaccurate economic data and incorrect imagery in their videos.

New research shows that corporate profits drove 53% of inflation during the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2023.
During the 40 years prior to the pandemic, profits drove just 11% of price growth.
News flash: Corporations used inflation as cover to squeeze more money out of you.

@fyfriendlyfyre As a health researcher, my concern is equity, that is, who is left out? That can be measured, and if money is the price of access, then the poor and minorities have much less access and worse health.
@fyfriendlyfyre Breathtaking lack of logic here. Universal healthcare is in place in all advanced industrial countries except the US. None of them have had a Tuskegee-like atrocity, nor did Tuskegee happen under a universal healthcare system.

I support drug decriminalization because criminalizing people who use drugs devastates lives and isn't protecting anyone. @JustinTrudeau@PattyHajdu I'm joining @aidslaw to ask you to decriminalize simple drug possession now! #drugdecrim#cdnpoli#harmreduction
