@LukeConlaund4 @CeriTravers Just to echo Ceri's advice. Start with small sided, lower age group games. Generally these are easier, shorter, with no offsides and kids less likely to be mouthy. My 14yr son was thrown straight into older 9/11-a-side matches and his confidence hit rock bottom before picking up.

We have had 11 referees make themselves unavailable this weekend, a few due to abuse from sidelines. If you stand on a line this week and your team give some stick think what if that was my child getting abuse. If you are the one giving stick - grow up you’re an embarrassment
