The RNC are reporting sightings of a Black Bear in Labrador City. It was seen crossing Route 500 near the Community Gardens and last sighting was near the old Hospital on Booth Ave.
The public should be cautious in this area and report any sightings.
Wildlife are in the area.

Just this evening, this car passed an RNC Traffic Services member at 162 km/h on Peackeepers Way in CBS. As a result, the 20 year old female driver was ticketed, had her licence suspended and vehicle seized.

The St. John’s International Airport Authority advises the public of EMERGENCY PLANNING TRAINING that will occur on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 from 9 a.m. - mid-afternoon. This annual training is conducted to ensure that all partners are prepared in the event of an actual emergency at St. John’s International Airport.
During this emergency planning training, there will be an increased presence of first responders throughout airport property, including the Airport Terminal Building. In addition, props will be set up on Navigator Avenue, Jetstream Avenue and Airport Service Road.
All airport operations will continue as normal.

The Westbound Lane of the Outer Ring Rd (TCH), between Team Gushue Highway and Thorburn Rd is closed due to a motor vehicle collision. All traffic will need to exit on TGH.
