Sumagot si Atty. Barry Gutierrez, dating tagapagsalita ni dating Bise Presidente Leni Robredo, matapos sabihin ni VP Sara Duterte, na malayo sa katotohanan kung hindi man absurd na ihambing ang kanyang budget para sa OVP sa nakaraang administrasyon.

Para sa 2025, nagmumungkahi si Duterte ng ₱2.037 bilyong budget para sa Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Samantalang ang OVP sa ilalim ng termino ni Robredo ay nakakuha ng ₱945.4 milyon para sa fiscal year 2021.
