Okay I think I'm experienced enough, lol.
Over the next couple of days/weeks, maybe months, I'll be writing about my experiences as a first time founder (mostly about the challenges and maybe lessons learnt).
Thinking of what to call it though🤔
Maybe "My First Time"?👀
Is it weird for a technical founder to enjoy operations more than coding?
I’ve spent years becoming a better engineer, only to realize I might enjoy building the business more than building the code.
Maybe I'm overthinking it.
@NzubeEzudo@thelilinuel I transitioned into a less technical role recently, and I’ve found myself wishing I had taken design classes from the start.
So much time can be lost trying to communicate a visual idea to a designer when, sometimes, I could’ve just designed it myself.
My team and I spent the day in Eneka, Port Harcourt, running a free medical outreach for the community.
We saw and attended to 113 patients — consultations, basic screenings, and referrals where needed.
This is the first in a series of outreach efforts. #zaviramed#health
Your startup should be data-driven from day one.
You’ll be shocked by how much the data can suggest ,sometimes pointing you toward a decision that might just move the needle.
@zaviramed85349 still day one here
A 14-year-old came in for a follow-up on her urine culture which showed heavy bacterial growth. We ran the sensitivities, and only one drug worked, Meropenem.
The problem? It’s IV only, which meant admission.
She didn’t really look like she needed to be in a hospital. Her mum didn’t think so either. But there wasn’t much room to manoeuvre.
That was one of those moments where antibiotic resistance stops being something you read about and becomes a decision sitting in front of you.
And resistance is only part of the problem.
There’s also taking the wrong drug, getting the dose wrong, stopping treatment when you feel better, or simply buying antibiotics without knowing what you’re actually treating.
It’s easy to blame people for these things, but the reality is often simpler: the right care isn’t always the easiest care to reach.
That’s something I’ve come to think about a lot since building @zaviramed85349 .
A pharmacy is often easier to reach than a doctor. Asking someone you know can be easier than spending hours at a hospital.
People will choose what is available to them.
And maybe part of improving healthcare is making the right option just as reachable.
That’s the part I keep coming back to.
When we started building ZaviraMed, one question sat under everything: what platform would actually justify the claim of "accessible healthcare"?
Not the platform that looked best in a deck. The one people would actually use without thinking twice.
We looked at how Nigerians already seek medical help , a text to a doctor friend, a call to someone's cousin who's "in the medical field," a voice note describing symptoms. Although its Informal, but instant. No one was waiting for an app to do this. People were already doing it, just without anyone qualified on the other end.
So we made a bet to build the entire experience on WhatsApp.
I say "bet" because it wasn't free, building our whole product on a third-party platform meant platform lock-in, playing by someone else's policies and regulations, limited flexibility on UI, and every flow leaning hard on automation instead of the control a native app gives.
We weighed that against the alternative of an app store, a download, storage space, an onboarding flow, all these standing between someone in pain and a doctor.
Today nobody has to learn a new tool to access care on Zaviramed. Just open your whatsapp and start a chat with a doctor → https://t.co/5Scg4pZvQV
Over the past few weeks, I explored different layers of the @SuperteamNG ecosystem from DeFi and payment tools to business infrastructure.
But beyond the products, what stood out the most is the connection between the builders, the community, and the solutions being created.
From ecosystem calls and Startup Village to products like @Rhivafun@Nectar_finance@XSpend ,@lisarstake@FlipeetPay , @Ordersounds and more, every part plays a role in shaping an ecosystem focused on real utility and innovation.
~Different builders.
~Different ideas.
~One connected ecosystem.
This episode brings everything together visually showing how communities, products, and people all connect within @SuperteamNG
And honestly… we’re only getting started.
