Full-circle moments rarely get wilder than this.
On my way home this afternoon, I got some urgent work calls and messages, so I hopped off the train to handle them on the spot instead of dealing with it at home.
As I was walking past The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, I saw this massive line of people waiting for a taping - it seemed bigger than usual. Cameras were set up across the street, which instantly caught my eye. For some reason, I grabbed my phone and recorded a short clip, assuming someone big was going to be the guest (though it’s hard to top Mr. Spielberg).
I went on with my day… Then later while scrolling, I saw it: they were taping the FINAL episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier today. I was even more glad I had the footage. But then it really hit me - I had actually been sitting in that very studio audience for the episode where Stephen made the joke that ended up getting him canceled. It was the same day Noah Cyrus was the musical guest (they taped two episodes). The woman right next to me told me, “She’s Miley Cyrus’s sister.” That helped because I had zero clue who Noah was at the time, but Miley was my high school crush.
That was quite a day. Sorry for Stephen, but I’m sure he’ll be more than fine. I’m glad to have been part of this history.
What a day to be in the right place at the right time! Who else has a Late Show story?
The end of an era, no doubt.
So I watched The Odyssey on regular IMAX in Times Square earlier today. Got there about half an hour before the screening - dead center, middle row, perfect seat. And it was all last minute!
Grabbed my ticket and then popped into Midtown Comics for American Caper Volume One. Since I’m collecting the single issues, I figured I might as well pick up the volume too - the story and art are just great. Sold out though, gotta get it some other day…
I really enjoyed The Odyssey. I didn’t mind the cast choices whatsoever; everyone did a fantastic job. I’m definitely going to catch it in 70mm IMAX soon, maybe even this weekend (though I know tickets will be tough).
I was planning to head straight to Lincoln Center right after the Times Square screening to grab 70mm IMAX tickets, but the hazy conditions and poor air quality distracted me. So I pulled out my Insta360 Luna Ultra and started documenting the sky, just like I did back in 2022 during that Blade Runner sky in NYC.
You might see it someday at @nycityreels.
The only thing about The Odyssey… did they really cut and stitch the 70mm print by hand? I guess I’ll find out after the 70mm IMAX screening. For now it felt a bit redundant, but hey… Sir Christopher Nolan totally deserves it.
Lots of shit going on right now.
Hard to keep up with this pace. Need to level up…
Tried to photograph the Trojan Horse today before 5AM, but it was already taken down. Bummer.
Want to see The Odyssey tomorrow - I refuse to believe I won’t get a ticket in NYC, so let’s see how it goes…
New street photography series starts soon. NYC streets, mixing media, creative editing, and some random stuff in compressed form because I don’t wanna waste anyone’s time.
On top of that, I’m working on a western about a man who photographs everything but makes sure no image of himself ever exists. It’s an AI-assisted project - I’m using AI for research and animation, while everything else will be done with real actors, as it should be.
Got the Insta360 Luma Ultra yesterday, slapped it on a 3 m selfie stick, and took it for a walk around Midtown. Today I’m running more tests and will drop the results later. So far I’m loving it!
Jay-Z pop-up at Bowery today 🔥
Line was long but moving quick. Walked away with some limited JAŸ-Z30 merch though 👀
Super fun immersive setup celebrating 30 years of Reasonable Doubt. Today’s the last day for the Manhattan spot — if you’re around, go check it out!

Star Wars - The Return of the Jedi in Concert.
I got there early, went through security, and had my ticket scanned. On the way, I grabbed two free posters, then went to find my seat only to discover I was in the wrong building. I ended up running to make it on time, but I did - that’s good news. The concert was incredible - another great news.
The bad news is that I will not be able to watch this movie again without the whole NY Philharmonic Orchestra. But if you ever get a chance to experience something like this, don’t think twice. You will not regret it.
About a year ago my friend grabbed tickets for tonight’s Return of the Jedi In Concert with the NY Phil but he can’t go… so here I am! Full movie on the big screen + live orchestra playing the whole score? This is gonna be unreal. So pumped!
I’ve been walking the streets of NYC taking photos for a while now. I try to get out almost every day, most of the week anyway. I’ve seen a lot of shit - some of it I kinda wish I could forget, like that homeless lady shitting on the train, crackheads passed out with needles in their veins, smoking stuff in construction walkways, and all the crazy stuff you can or cannot imagine.
Today I saw something else, though.
It was late at night with almost nobody around. On a sidewalk between a subway exit and some trash cans - still totally public and visible, there was this couple laid out on a towel. Someone would probably just say they saw people fucking on the street, but with that slow Akon soundtrack playing from their speaker and the girl slowly moving on top of the guy… I’d almost say they were making love.
Even with all the craziness, I wasn’t that surprised. Ever since around 2022/23 I’ve been carrying my Insta360 for POV footage while I shoot street photos, so yeah, I’ve got the video of the whole thing. The camera just caught it as I was walking by, I didn’t stop or try to take their picture or anything. And I’m not releasing any of it. Just another wild story from the streets.
A couple of street photos I took earlier today in Midtown Manhattan.

Almost didn't post anything from the Knicks Parade... Got there a little after 7am because I figured I should have breakfast first...
Well...
Thanks to my parkour skills from 20 years ago I was able to get a decent point of view, but I was still hoping for a better spot.
Anyway, I'm glad I was part of this historic event. The Canyon of Heroes — I knew it was gonna be massive, but this...
I took tons of photos and this is the one I'm posting. Didn't even go through all of them, but I figure if I don't post before I go to sleep I might never do it, and it's worth mentioning because it's a huge part of NYC history. 🧡💙
