@TomK_Brit1993 I never have sympathy with people that commit stupid mistakes then refuse to listen to the reasons behind them. The only nice thing to say, “I hope he learned something from the experience.” Judging from his resignation speech, I doubt it.
@bailugs2021@KemiBadenoch@Bexbel Quite right @AngelaRayner .. Thank you for your common sense & thank you for not being a hypocrite and applying the same standard to Starmer's successor!
Quite true but worse than that.. Joining EU (not EEC in 1973) was Conservatives doing against Thatcher and trad. Conservative's principles. Only sorry it took > 20 years for Tories to come to their senses and actually ask the people for their say. Brexit will have saved this country - if only we could find a Leader to rise to the challenge! .. Made harder since being mollycoddled by 720 Politicians in the EU above the 650 in the Commons & 775 in the Lords & thousands in local councils.
Quite right, but on the same basis, the preceding govt. inherited, who themselves inherited, who inherited & so it has been since Thatcher was assassinated & Major & Blair unilaterally signed Maastricht & Lisbon resp.. And, never learning a lesson.. Since the beginning of time, mollycoddling never makes a competent leader as witnessed since 2016!
Quite right, @AndyBurnhamGM , how about it? How about you do the honourable thing and let the people decide?? Heck you gain a real mandate should you win! Or, are you planning on starting your tenure as a hypocrite like the last 7 in 10 years?
Two things you might have overlooked, Kemi..
You and your lot gift-wrapped the keys to No. 10 to Labour.
You and your lot still don't know who Britons are and how the Tory party can help them.
Until you address these two points, not sure you're in a position to lecture anyone right now.
The only speech Starmer has made that I almost agreed with!
"Almost" because I struggle to believe that "every decision [he has] made put the country first." This last decision, dragged out kicking & screaming, is because he had no option. Putting country first, he would have resigned afer the Southport riots when he first lost the faith & control of his people!
In fairness, Starmer did not fail on Immigration & energy as Trump suggests - he did no worse than previous/recent PMs in this regard.. His legacy will be as the single most hate-filled, divisive PM, EVERRRR! From the day he named as "far-right thugs" and a "tiny, mindless minority" then proceded to persecute, prosecute & imprison Britons for getting angry over the slaughter of 3 young innocent girls. Right through to the Unite the Kingdom March recently where he labeled the organizers similarly.. He has only ever been, self-righteous, sanctimonious & hypocritically censorious. Frankly, Poisonous & treasonous.. In short, a nasty piece of work!
@SteveRightNLeft So, Ms. Mahmoud, @ShabanaMahmood, We noticed the absence of your comment(s).. Might this be an example of "anti-christian hatred," or does that not exist? (Only Muslims can be victims of hatred in the UK)?? Please advise.
"..I know it's not who we are as a country.."
I confess.. Its who i am! I don't like them one bit.. I don't like how I'm supposed to accept their religion; tolerate their intolerance of judaism and christianity; forgive their frequent murderous terrorist attacks; look away when they rape our girls; have my free speech curtailed because they'll be offended.. Not sure who we are as a country if others think different?? Or is it more likely the case that we have become a country of scardy cats?!
Congratulations, Ms. Badenoch.
Please tell us how the Tory party that stabbed Maggie in the back, unlilaterally signed EU-Maastricht Treaty, signed the Paris climate Accord & coveted Net zero, opened the borders to Islam, failed to protect our girls from rape gangs etc.,etc.. plan to win the whole nation over with a sizeable majority at the next general election when you were a distant 4th in Makerfield?
"Some of the people associated [with Restore] are deeply.. "
gosh, you guys do sound pompous!
And you're wrong.. Most Restore Supporters (not me) are people that see Farage & Co. making the Tory mistake that caused their demise, " best we're not seen associating with Tommy Robinson, we don't want to be accused of Islamophobia." If you don't address that fact, then you can cast away any illusions of future success.
Tis true, but the fact remains, @RupertLowe10 you can't say, " I'm for the people" and not recognize the distraction you are to the Reform party. I would prefer honesty along the lines, "I'm not for the people, I'm for f*cking up Farage, Reform Party & the Tories!" Only then can you hold your head high & not be a hypocrite.
