Is artificial intelligence helping you grow, or quietly replacing your growth?
I invite you to join me at https://t.co/B5xFoUsTw6 on June 7 as we discuss how to hear God's voice in an age of artificial intelligence.
Humble effort and personal revelation. That's a powerful combo...
"And they were taught to walk humbly before the Lord; and they were also taught from on high." (Ether 6:17)
Today, my counselors in the First Presidency and I were grateful for the opportunity to visit the Salt Lake Temple, which has been undergoing a significant renovation since 2020.
We look forward to welcoming people from throughout the world during the Salt Lake Temple Celebration and open house, to be held from April through October 2027.
Above all, we look forward to teaching about the sacred purposes of temples throughout the world. In the temple, faithful men and women receive divine instruction, sacred responsibilities, and spiritual power.
It is in the temple that eternal covenants are made that bind us and our families to our Heavenly Father and to one another for eternity.
Our Savior Jesus Christ taught us how to relate to one another. The great commandments in the law, He taught, were to love—God and neighbor. (Matthew 22:37-39)
Following the recent March 30 announcement outlining adjustments to Sunday meetings and youth curriculum, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is inviting youth, parents and leaders to begin preparing now for changes that will take effect on September 6, 2026.
Central to these adjustments is the updated “For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices” — a principle-based, Christ-centered resource that will become the curriculum for Young Women classes and Aaronic Priesthood quorums beginning this fall.
The updated “For the Strength of Youth” (FSY) guide contains 12 chapters — one for each month of the year — each focused on doctrine, principles and real-life application. Beginning September 6, classes and quorums will study one chapter per month, learning how to make choices with the Savior Jesus Christ at the center of their lives.
Youth are invited to read the entire guide before September 6, becoming familiar with its teachings and learning how to use it as a lifelong resource for discipleship and decision-making.

In advance of the upcoming general conference leadership session (April 2, 2026), The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced upcoming adjustments to the Sunday class meeting schedule to support members in their efforts to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. • Sacrament meeting will continue to be 60 minutes, followed by brief transition periods.
• Sunday School and quorum and class meetings will each be 25 minutes.
• Primary will continue every Sunday and will be 55 minutes, held while adults and youth attend their respective classes.
• Where local circumstances necessitate, units may begin with Primary and quorum and class meetings and conclude with sacrament meeting.

In a world where so much information is available, it is increasingly important to be certain that what we accept as truth is grounded in eternal principles.
The Lord’s scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, will be even more important in our day than they were for prior generations.
I recently shared at a BYU devotional that we need to slow down enough to listen to the Spirit and allow Him to direct us. We must all learn to use technology as a servant, not a master.
The future of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and our very civilization depend on members and individuals who have deep faith, moral courage, and the ability to navigate an increasingly complex world.
The Lord will continue to provide prophets who will guide and focus us on the most important principles. The Lord’s prophets will help this generation move forward and confidently accomplish His purposes.
Please do not be discouraged as we all face these unique challenges. You will be blessed. Let us never forget that it was not easy for the Savior in the volatile world, during his mortal sojourn—especially in his final hours as he accomplished the Atonement.
I am grateful for our Savior’s ultimate sacrifice in our behalf. I am also grateful for living prophets who can provide us with the guidance we need in our day. President Dallin H. Oaks will provide that spiritually powerful legacy.
As we begin this new year, the Spirit can help us recognize the gifts and talents God has given us.
Let us, like the faithful servants in the Lord’s parable, increase and magnify them.
The day will come when we stand before our compassionate Father in Heaven to give an account of our stewardship. He will want to know what we did with the gifts He gave us—in particular, how we used them to bless His children. God knows who we truly are, who we are designed to become, and so His expectations for us are high.
But He doesn’t expect us to take some grand, heroic, or superhuman leap to get there. In the world He created, growth happens gradually and patiently—but also consistently and unrelentingly.
Remember, it is Jesus Christ who already did the superhuman part when He conquered death and sin.
Our part is to follow the Christ. It is our part to turn away from sin, turn toward the Savior, and walk in His way, one step at a time.
As we do this, diligently and faithfully, we eventually cast off the shackles of imperfections and faults and slowly become refined, until that perfect day when we will be perfected in Christ.
The blessings are within reach. The promises are in place. The door is wide open. It is our choice to enter and begin.
The beginning may be small. But that is OK.
Where faith is weak, begin with a hope in Christ Jesus and in His power to cleanse and purify.
Like the angels who shared the news of Jesus Christ’s birth to the shepherds, we too can “bring good tidings of great joy” (Luke 2:10) unto all people at Christmastime and always.
What valuable lessons might we each learn from the angels on the first Christmas?
• Their message was a message of faith—not fear.
• Their intention was to share glad tidings.
• Their words were filled with great joy.
• They hoped their message would reach all people.
• They praised God.
• They spoke of peace and goodwill.
When you interact with others—whether in person or online—will you consider the lessons that each of us can learn from the angelic tidings in Luke 2?
The world needs glad tidings right now more than ever.
The Lord is preparing His Church and His people, those who bear His name, to receive Him. As part of our preparation for His coming, He will lift each of us so we may rise to spiritual challenges and opportunities unlike any seen in the history of this world.
How, then, can each of us participate in this work of such magnitude and grandeur?
When we take repentance as a joyful opportunity because of our growing faith that Jesus is the Christ, when we understand and believe that Heavenly Father hears our every prayer, when we strive to obey and live the commandments, we grow in our power to receive continuing revelation.
The Holy Ghost can be our constant companion. A feeling of light will stay with us even as the world around us becomes darker.
As we pray and grow our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and our Heavenly Father as our loving Father, we become a vital part in the Lord’s work as He prepares the world for His Second Coming.
All of us have experienced challenges and afflictions as part of mortality.
We are reminded, “And ye cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead you along. The kingdom is yours and the blessings thereof are yours, and the riches of eternity are yours” (Doctrine and Covenants 78:18).
"And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever." ‼️🙏
(Moroni in Ether 12:41)
The First Presidency is pleased to announce that effective immediately, young women who choose to serve a full-time mission may begin their service at age 18 following graduation from high school or its equivalent.
While the Lord asks every worthy, able young man as part of his priesthood responsibility to prepare for and serve a mission, we reiterate that missionary service remains an optional opportunity for young women. We recognize that for those young women who desire to serve a full-time mission, the choice of age to begin service will not be the same for everyone.
We extend our love to the youth of the Church and commend them for their faithfulness. https://t.co/hZVKFI3VW6
"Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day."
Alma 37:37
