Slot: "we press high"
Klopp vs Slot - Pressing Zones

Slot at LFC - Pressing Zones
A high press isn’t a single moment. It’s a commitment across the team: the attack starts the press, the midfield backs it up, and the defence squeezes high.
Everyone engaged all the way up to the 18-yard box.
Is anyone seeing something different? I cannot fathom that comment Arne!
There is a lot of tactical analysis on what’s going wrong at Liverpool. I don’t think you can take any analysis that doesn’t include how Liverpool’s opponents use long balls seriously.
PSV’s average attempted long pass rate in the Eredivisie and Champions League was 13.4 per cent until last night.
Peter Bosz’s team kicked 20.1 per cent of their passes long.
They targeted the RB/RCB area, particularly in the second half. Graphics from @Barts78
Liverpool have played 49 league matches under Arne Slot.
In 17 of those, Liverpool’s opponents had a long pass rate of 20% or more. In those games Liverpool’s win rate drops to 41% (W7, D5, L5)
In the other 32 league matches, they have a 75% win rate 24W, 4D, 4L

Man City v Liverpool in 2019 was the highest quality Premier League game we’ve ever seen. Pep’s team won the PL, Klopp’s won the CL.
It was about false 9’s, inverted full backs & fast attacking football.
This season has been about corners & long throws

@AndyForrester1@HKhaliqueLoonat Is this using tracking data?
So more accurate as opposed to similar viz that’s based off event data which is about at the moment?
Huge thanks to both @LewisSteele_ for the time today and @SamMcGuire90 for the additional details provided. There's a lot for Slot to sort and quickly! @AnfieldIndex#LFC
Have a watch on YouTube mates 👍
Well...got him!
Told @LewisSteele_ to put down his quill and ink, his confidential column and work out with me WTF going on with this #LFC side at 12:30 on YouTube for @AnfieldIndex
See you there mates 👍

Games like the weekend can be frustrating, certain narratives are presented by the media, which may or may not be true. As I always, I find the data helps establish the true story of the game and dispell false narstives along the way.
Here's my latest piece on doing just that.
📊 Were Burnley really unlucky?
Dr @Barts78 breaks down the #LFC stats that say otherwise - total domination, not chance.
Gravenberch shines, Wirtz improves and Slot’s changes pay off.
