Made a tumblr account @ basaratalk and will slowly migrate stuff (or let's see how things are). There are still so many things I want to share with fellow readers and fans of Basara... 😳
Just in case twitter is down I'd probably migrate somewhere else (will let you know). But honestly thinking of moving my every tweet is exhausting already. Espc the history tweets they're trivial I know...but I spent hours fact checking museum sites etc
1992: Basara by Yumi Tamura
Born under a prophecy that will liberate & unite Japan, Sarasa had to take her brother's place as the "Boy of Destiny." Fighting for the oppressed, Sarasa journeys across Japan to gain allies & defeat her enemies all while keeping her identity a secret
The thing is even though Ageha's color is said to be "bright vivid blue", in the anime and the artworks his blue is usually a muted color. Only his profile page in the artbook gets it right, I'm afraid... #Basara#manga

#tmi When sensei chose the color asagi for Asagi's name (he was going to be named something else) she didn't know that it was considered a "commoner color", just that it wasn't a true blue. She was happy that it fits the [character arc] #Basara#YumiTamura#manga#shoujo
#tmi Ageha's blue was chosen because it stands out in the desert. Throughout the manga there are multiple shades of blue but his is the brightest (according to sensei).

Just in case maybe anyone of you fellow Basara fans or readers doesn't know yet, many chapter titles, character names and place names in the manga are based on traditional names of colors in Japanese. Yumi Tamura sensei loves colors. ❤️❤️
