Instead of taking on the illegal drugs lobby, the Home Department is busy cracking down on Hindu activists who are averse to their ideology. The involvement of students has increased manifold with as many as 228 of them being apprehended for possession of drugs this year. What begins as experimentation can end up destroying a student’s education, future, and aspirations.
The Home Minister must use the Police to crackdown on Drug peddlers instead of cracking down on those who are ideologically averse to the Government.
