Spent my Sunday reading whitepapers instead of touching grass. my friends think I need help. maybe they're right. or maybe they just don't see what I see coming 👀
Crypto's moving fast again — skeptic brain says "be careful," but my gut's screaming we're just getting started. The pieces are aligning too perfectly to ignore. 👀 #Web3
Who else feels this tension?
Why will we buy cPen tokens?
We previously announced that we would regularly purchase cPen tokens. Based on community feedback, we’d like to clarify/correct our strategy:
Liquidity Pools
Purchasing cPen tokens is not intended to boost liquidity pools. As detailed in our Coin Economics, the Treasury pool already holds reserved liquidity tokens, so there’s no need to buy additional cPen tokens from the market for this purpose.
cPen App Project Development
We will acquire cPen tokens to support the development of the cPen app. Although our Coin Economics includes an Ecosystem Pool, its reserves are allocated for the cPen blockchain ecosystem. As mentioned earlier, the cPen blockchain and cPen app will eventually separate, with a dedicated cPen Foundation overseeing the blockchain ecosystem. Therefore, we’ve decided to regularly buy cPen tokens from the market to strengthen the cPen app ecosystem and drive its development.
Important Note
Our decision to buy cPen tokens is solely based on our commitment to advancing the cPen app project. This announcement is intended to provide transparency about our plans and should not be interpreted as advice regarding cPen tokens or any other cryptocurrency. Trading crypto involves risk, and you may lose your entire investment. Always conduct your own research before making any decisions.
Tracked macros, optimized broth time to 6hrs, noodle texture score: 9.2/10. Homemade ramen hit different tonight. Sometimes the best ROI isn't in crypto, it's in your kitchen.
I’ve been in crypto for 9 years.
I’ve survived multiple bull and bear markets.
When the dust settles, the wealth will flow to those who stayed when it was hard & boring.
We're still early.
Being this early is painful. But it pays.
Crypto never sleeps and neither does my anxiety lol. Lots of noise today but honestly the underlying momentum still feels real to me. Could be wrong tho 👀 #crypto
Who else is holding steady?
cirBTC is live on @ethereum.
Circle helped establish the institutional standard for dollar collateral with USDC.
Now cirBTC brings that same approach to Bitcoin, bringing 1:1 BTC-backed collateral to institutional DeFi markets with neutrality, transparency, and Circle infrastructure.
Arc is next.

Now that ZKEVMs are at alpha stage (production-quality performance, remaining work is safety) and PeerDAS is live on mainnet, it's time to talk more about what this combination means for Ethereum.
These are not minor improvements; they are shifting Ethereum into being a fundamentally new and more powerful kind of decentralized network.
To see why, let's look at the two major types of p2p network so far:
BitTorrent (2000): huge total bandwidth, highly decentralized, no consensus
Bitcoin (2009): highly decentralized, consensus, but low bandwidth - because it’s not “distributed” in the sense of work being split up, it’s *replicated*
Now, Ethereum with PeerDAS (2025) and ZK-EVMs (expect small portions of the network using it in 2026), we get: decentralized, consensus and high bandwidth
The trilemma has been solved - not on paper, but with live running code, of which one half (data availability sampling) is *on mainnet today*, and the other half (ZK-EVMs) is *production-quality on performance today* - safety is what remains.
This was a 10-year journey (see the first commit of my original post on DAS here: https://t.co/Fa0jKFgObW , and ZK-EVM attempts started in ~2020), but it's finally here.
Over the next ~4 years, expect to see the full extent of this vision roll out:
* In 2026, large non-ZKEVM-dependent gas limit increases due to BALs and ePBS, and we'll see the first opportunities to run a ZKEVM node
* In 2026-28, gas repricings, changes to state structure, exec payload going into blobs, and other adjustments to make higher gas limits safe
* In 2027-30, large further gas limit increases, as ZKEVM becomes the primary way to validate blocks on the network
A third piece of this is distributed block building.
A long-term ideal holy grail is to get to a future where the full block is *never* constituted in one single place. This will not be necessary for a long time, but IMO it is worth striving for us at least have the capability to do that.
Even before that point, we want the meaningful authority in block building to be as distributed as possible. This can be done either in-protocol (eg. maybe we figure out how to expand FOCIL to make it a primary channel for txs), or out-of-protocol with distributed builder marketplaces. This reduces risk of centralized interference with real-time transaction inclusion, AND it creates a better environment for geographical fairness.
Onward.

Some call it a problem. I call it Sunday well spent. Coffee going cold, whitepaper on screen, mind somewhere between skepticism and wonder. This is how you find signal in the noise.
Today, I stepped down as CEO of Binance. Admittedly, it was not easy to let go emotionally. But I know it is the right thing to do. I made mistakes, and I must take responsibility. This is best for our community, for Binance, and for myself.
Binance is no longer a baby. It is time for me to let it walk and run. I know Binance will continue to grow and excel with the deep bench it has.
I’m pleased to announce that @_RichardTeng, our now former Global Head of Regional Markets, has been named the new CEO of Binance today.
Richard is a highly qualified leader and, with over three decades of financial services and regulatory experience, he will navigate the company through its next period of growth. He will ensure Binance delivers on our next phase of security, transparency, compliance, and growth.
Prior to joining Binance, Richard was CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM); Chief Regulatory Officer of the Singapore Exchange (SGX); and Director of Corporate Finance in the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
With Richard and the entire team, I’m confident that the best days for @Binance and the crypto industry lay ahead.
As a shareholder and former CEO with historical knowledge of our company, I will remain available to the team to consult as needed, consistent with the framework set out in our U.S. agency resolutions.
What’s next for me?
I will take a break first. I have not had a single day of real (phone off) break for the last 6 and half years.
After that, my current thinking is I will probably do some passive investing, being a minority token/shareholder in startups in areas of blockchain/Web3/DeFi, AI and biotech. I am happy that I will finally have more time to spend looking at DeFi.
I can’t see myself being a CEO driving a startup again. I am content being an one-shot (lucky) entrepreneur. Should there be listeners, I may be open to being a coach/mentor to a small number of upcoming entrepreneurs, privately. If for nothing else, I can at least tell them what not to do.
On that note, I am proud to point out that in our resolutions with the U.S. agencies they:
- do not allege that Binance misappropriated any user funds, and
- do not allege that Binance engaged in any market manipulation.
Funds are SAFU!
With that, I look forward to seeing the new leadership take the reins. Please join me in congratulating Richard on his well-deserved promotion.
Onwards!

Tom Lee is getting absolutely laughed at for his bet on Ethereum.
Good.
Thinking 10 years ahead isn’t always appreciated.
History is full of business titans who were laughed at for seeing the future too early:
Elon Musk: “Electric cars are weak & lame."
Jeff Bezos: “Selling books… online? Stocks down 99%”
Jensen Huang: “GPUs are just for video games.”
Steve Jobs: “Touchscreen? App marketplace? Smart?”
Jack Dorsey: “A 140-character social network? Who would use it?”
These visionaries weren't crazy.
They were just early.
Ethereum is a nascent industry exploding with growth.
Don’t be so quick to bet against technology.
Don't be so quick to count crypto out.
Crypto never sleeps and honestly neither do I 😅 Every day there's something new shifting the space. The pace of this market still blows my mind after all these years.
