Gonna be hard to reach for the non-WC enthusiasts
I'm not the most patriotic person, but I find it so easy to get behind the #USMNT.
The squad today features Dutch-Americans, Mexican-Americans, English-Americans, random guys from small American towns.
The epitome of the diversity of this country & that should be celebrated.
@USMNT_Loudmouth@usmntaut@SpangledBallers I think MLS is better level than Champ. But in champ, you can get promoted to the Prem. Most Europeans trust the champ level more than MLS level as well, so if you perform in champ you’ll have more eyes on you. I think that is changing though?
We got Americans not supporting USMNT due to political beliefs. You do you. But Argentinians found a random player from New Zealand and are going to be cheering for him maybe more so than their own country in the group stage 😂 song is an absolute banger too.
@MLShater I think Poch is trying to 4D Chess out group by not playing who he thinks the starting lineup will be until the actual first game. I feel like this usually bites teams in the butt tbf..
Give me Pepi and Balo up top together if we are experimenting
@USMNTTAKES Will Gutierrez end up being better than Luna and others? Potentially? But right now he’s not good enough for the squad for 2026 and he wanted to play in this WC and switched to Mexico. Wish him the best and don’t want to lose any player, but it’s not a massive loss currently.
@USMNTTAKES This is the exact take I have. Should he have gotten more of a chance to prove himself, definitely. But is he one of our top 5 Attacking Mids? Currently not even close, Zendejas (deservedly) was last man on roster imo and is clearly better.
@jinidz3@Eyesandvibes Like I said I think everyone is underrating you guys. I think you all have a tough group, but qualifying for knockouts is not impossible! Hope you all do well unless you play the states 😂
@Mo_clip@Eyesandvibes If you mean Netherlands missed the open sitters I agree. Who all other than Maza and Bensebaini was missing from starting lineup? I’ll admit I’m not the most well versed on their lineups but it looked pretty close to first team minus a few like I said. Moussa looked good too
@jinidz3@Eyesandvibes With all due respect, especially because I think Algeria is being underrated by most, Netherlands subbed out Van Dijk, Van de Ven, Gravenberch, and their GK at half as well. I agree Algeria was better in second half, but I think Netherlands subs also played a big part in that
@shinguardian Still a big miss imo though. Even though he’s more of a DLP 6 and that’s not what Poch is trying to do it seems, I think he could still be successful in the box to box 8 role that Berhalter played in against Senegal.
@shinguardian I think it was poor showing in March, Poch had Tessman and others dropping into “back 3” during build up and we looked pretty bad compared to previous camp when the Right FB pinched into back 3 in build up.
@AIdevdove Agye coming off surgery and didn’t get preseason with his team too though? I agree Surridge was a mid striker and he was mid in MLS for a year and a half the only other player is Engel I think for RSL who has been decent in a back 3 for them There aren’t many champ players in MLS
