Central High School senior Parker Evans is soaring toward an extraordinary future! ✈️

On March 2, Parker was celebrated for his selection into the Fall 2026 class of Tuskegee University’s Aviation Science Program — one of the most competitive aviation pathways in the nation. Chosen as one of just 25 students from more than 400 applicants nationwide, Parker will join a new generation carrying forward the legacy of the historic Tuskegee Airmen.

During the ceremony, Tuskegee University representatives announced that Parker also received a University Achievement Scholarship valued at approximately $50,000 over four years. The university will also cover his flight training costs.

“I feel really honored, and it’s also a very humbling experience,” Parker said. “My ultimate goal is just to fly.”

The @NMSJags student recently won top honors at the Invention Convention hosted by the @UofAlabama for his innovative project titled “The Spin and Find.”
This creative pencil pouch features multiple storage sections, allowing students to organize pens, pencils, and markers into separate compartments for quicker, easier access.
Dayon began the process by surveying fellow students about their experiences with traditional pencil pouches to explore ideas for improvement. Through trial and error, he developed a unique wheel design that spins for easy access — combining creativity, problem-solving, and practical design.
An impressive accomplishment for such a young inventor and entrepreneur! Way to go, Dason!
