@EmilySeitz Congratulations! Twitter in general has been a rather hateful place lately, so I love to see the overwhelming support you’ve gotten to your announcement! Prayers for you that your church and denomination has been supportive, too. 🙏⚾️❤️
You can’t watch American professional sports, where most teams consist of majority black and brown players, and use them for your entertainment, while not supporting their right to equal treatment in society and by law enforcement. #GeorgeFloydVerdict#Accountability
Literally unfollow me if you’re tweeting to “keep politics out of baseball” right now as a response to this statement. Sports has been politicized since it was segregated. (Maybe start by watching “42,” Jackie Robinson’s story, to learn some of that history?)
Oh, somewhere in our dear Cleveland the sun is shining bright,
Sixty-one degrees on Opening Day should mean our hearts are light;
But we’re all social distancing, and no one roams about,
And forget about a ballgame—Covid takes the season out.

Happy Baseball NOPEning Day, everyone. Here’s “COVID at the Bat,” dedicated to any fan who’s had to *wait til next year* in perpetuity. It’s gonna be a little while longer. ⚾️💔
The outlook wasn't brilliant for the Cleveland nine today:

Coach Jimmy Dugan told us once: “There’s no crying in baseball!”
But then are you allowed to cry when no teams can play at all?
Or perhaps I’m just dramatic, like the Peach of days gone by,
So I’ll sit and scroll on Twitter, and let out a heavy sigh.
