@BucsBounty@hallofgoodpod@jayhaykid Exactly. Obviously he’s allowed to be mad about the ump getting in the way. Him taking shots at things that have nothing to do with him getting in the way is what makes him a dick.
@WolvesRube21@JJMcGLAZER After Jose’s awful rookie year he had a 3.91 fip and 115 era+ in 723 innings pitched. Ryan has a 3.76 fip and 112 era+ in 755.2 innings.
Ryan has been a bit better these last 2 seasons at 3.61 fip and 124 era+ over 285.1 innings. Berrios was very similar in his best seasons.
@sundoglighting@thetwinsguy His fastball was around 91.5 before 2025 which was about 15th percentile. Now it’s down to 88.4 mph. A 3mph loss is pretty drastic especially since he wasn’t a power arm to begin with.
@ChiSoxFanMike He was definitely overrated last year and his fans were really annoying but now he fixed his inability to walk this year and deserves all of that praise.
@Freiersburgh@SleeperMLBTwins He looks like he can be an above average catcher which would be very valuable. Wouldn’t make sense to move him off that position unless he turns out to be bad defensively
@themikeag@AnthonyDiComo They had Freddy Peralta, Clay Holmes, Kodai Senga, David Peterson, Tobias Myers for the rotation who have all greatly underperformed.
Same goes with Bichette, Lindor, Semien and Polanco for the lineup.
@marshmelloblue@MVPrielipp Arm angle has dropped by 5 degrees. Pitches aren’t getting as much vertical movement as last year and he’s throwing a bit softer. Also he outperformed his expected stats last year and is underperforming them this year which is part of it.
@DavidJ_Cole@TigersJUK This happened in 2007 and MLB was using the Stalker Pro radar guns to measure pitch speed from close to the mound. They read pitches about 2mph slower than current reading so this guy was still throwing mid to high 80s and the point still stands.
@thetwinsguy Average bat to ball skills but the quality of that contact is horrible. He doesn’t provide value in the field or in the bases either. Maybe he could be a decent bench player with the right improvements but I don’t think starting shortstop is in the cards anymore.
@CoachMacHTX@marchulet@DanClarkSports Saying he’s better than the vast majority of human beings means nothing lol. He was really bad at the position last year compared to the rest of the league.
