I find no ideal in adolescents engaging in sexual relationships or getting pregnant. I find it even less ideal to have the 12 year old kill the living child in her womb.

But it would be even worse to kill the baby in her womb. Empathy for the girl should not preclude us from having empathy for the baby.

Abortion is extremely traumatizing for mothers as well. Many end up with depressive thoughts after. A fetus not being immediately conscious does not justify killing it.

Modern medicine is extremely competent and giving birth is a more seamless than ever. The risk of death is nil. But death is guaranteed with abortion.
