Yea I get that. I have taught twenty years, used to be a much harsher person and felt that same way. Wanted consequences! I’ve chilled out. For kids who hate school it’s just tough. Yea you want consequences etc but the kid probably has more going on at home than you can imagine. There for the grace of God go I.

To teach English you just need some engaging novels, plays and poetry. Classics work just fine. Kids need a notebook and a pencil or pen. We have really over analyzed it.

@educator4ever36 Don’t know how to use her skill set. It’s English class and she hasn’t read any of the books or stories we do. I handle class. She’s a nice person and helps where I ask.
