@shikhr_ Agree on both - I also don’t think we’ll see LLMs that are capable of staff engineer level reasoning for a long time, low-level design tradeoffs etc, but I do think that most application level development at a junior standard will be fully replaceable in the next couple years

i think it’s definitely a bubble right now, my main concern is the amount of money these companies are burning through to even offer us the utility we have now, it’s a big money loser so i guess one can hope 🤣 better chips could solve this i guess, but i just don’t think the hardware is there yet (maybe this is copium)
