@SendoDX@realestAG_ I think it is understandable why so many fans are upset about the current state of the Sonic franchise.
It's always a concern to see drastic changes being made that don't align with a series established identity.
@goon_ddd83851@nygma0451 I think Shadow of the Colossus is a good example of that. The Colossi are the spikes in difficulty while travelling to them is a dip in difficulty.
@Fincredible2099 Frontiers also has way too many islands. By the time players reach Ouranos they are already tired from Frontiers' gameplay and that's way so many of them resort to fish as that allows them to skip the entire island.
@Fincredible2099 Frontiers sold well because it was an open world Sonic game, but the way it executed on its premise is less than ideal. It has many elements that are either disliked or ignored by its fans (minigames, puzzles, RPG stats, etc) so the game would be better without them.
@nygma0451 I don't think that's all that surprising. Lucas was always open to using new technologies in filmmaking. The prequels are good examples of that.
