It’s interesting how the world was very concerned about these sharks not having enough enrichment but nobody cares about the farmed chickens, pigs, cows and fish who don’t have any enrichment.
I guess it doesn’t matter since their purpose is to be killed?
This is what the dog meat market looks like in Africa.
Up to 300,000 dogs are slaughtered for meat every year on the continent.
The trade represents one of the most disastrous problems for both animal welfare and public safety, with one study finding that over 2% of the dogs used may be rabid.

@realalpha2000 There is also a lot of saturated fat in some vegan food. Particularly coconut oil. I actively have to avoid it to keep my intake within the healthy levels.
@jester_sam55659 My ancestors also enslaved and murdered people.
I use my privilege to live more ethically. Living more ethically should be everyone’s goal.
@F0URLlGHTS@AaronxxGolem Many people have reduced intrinsic factor and other absorption issues which is why they actually recommend everyone over 50 supplement b12.
So in conclusion most people get vitamin A from eating plants and a few people may benefit from a supplement. Good chat!
@xosiian I agree. Most self identified vegans are doing it for health or the environment.
Animal rights vegans (actually what veganism is) are a smaller subset. Which is a strange.
@F0URLlGHTS@AaronxxGolem In rare cases sure. Those people should take a supplement. just like a person who has poor b12 absorption shouldn’t keep increasing meat intake they should take a supplement.
What’s your argument?
@MaximusCockburn@DoktorUebel Also I literally intentionally cut back on saturated fat because some vegan sources can have a lot and too much is bad for you. These people are insane.
@F0URLlGHTS@AaronxxGolem Actually carotenoids are good for you. Very powerful antioxidants in these foods. Some of the longest living populations eat the most.
It’s actually the retinol you have to worry about getting too much of since it can be toxic.
