#DMK Budget vs #TVK Budget

I analyzed the official figure #DMK’s February 2026 Interim Budget and the #TVK government’s August 2026 Revised Budget.

Across directly comparable departments, allocations increased by about 6.4%—from ₹2.82 lakh crore to ₹3 lakh crore.

The clearest push is towards Rural Development, along with housing, health, transport and digital services.

At the same time, School Education, Energy, Water Resources and Handlooms received lower allocations than in the interim estimates.

The takeaway is not simply that #TVK is spending more—it has reordered priorities, placing greater weight on rural infrastructure, welfare delivery and digital capacity.

@TTDevasthanams Dear @TTDevasthanams, during my visit to Tirumala on 26-Jun-2026, I was surprised to find that Thulabaram accepted only cash. Even for offerings above ₹10,000, devotees were asked to pay only in cash. Earlier, Debit Card payments were available. Kindly restore Debit Card - digital payment facilities to support devotees and promote the Digital India initiative. Also focus more on Exit from temple heavy crowd no proper saftey measures just using rope will not control the crowd #Tirumala #TTD #DigitalPayments #DevoteeConvenience
