🇮🇳 Female journalists filming a crackdown became targets the second their cameras exposed police aggression.

Three reporters say police groped them and tried to bury their complaints during demonstrations at Jantar Mantar.

Crowds were demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resign over alleged voter roll manipulation.

When three women went to file a criminal complaint, police refused an immediate FIR.

Instead they passed the case off to their own Crime Branch for a ‘impartial’ internal review.

This is the grim reality for female journalists operating in New India.

🇺🇸 The Army is turning every soldier into a dot on a live battlefield map: smartphones, drones and linked radios just got their first jungle test

In drills in Indonesia, a sergeant used the map on his chest to find a medevac landing zone in 30 seconds instead of minutes, and command posts that once needed 300 people in tents now run from a handful of connected vehicles.

The Army says the system cuts the time from spotting a target to firing on it from hours to minutes, and it's asking for $3.8 billion next year to keep rolling it out.

Drone warfare rewards whoever sees the target first, and this puts a platoon on the same live picture as its commander miles away.

A radio reboot and an overheated phone in a jungle drill are exactly the bugs worth catching before the real thing.
