@Khanyobaby I disagree with this so much. I tracked citations in recent lit back like 10, 20, 50 years back for my dissertation and all that EXTRA reading provided much needed context for my field (tuberculosis/parasites). So yea I cited the old papers and it was not because I was lazy.
