i got a lot of hate for choosing commerce over science (esp since my parents were doctors) -- so, i made a diss track:
(ps: parents were super supportive)
not because the professor used AI.
but because these AI-detectors have a lot of false-positives.
moral: don't use a thermometer to measure an earthquake.
a friend was about to get a D grade because "AI-usage" was "detected" in their term-report at a tier-1 b-school of india.
we went through 20 research papers of the professor.
6 of them had >20% AI detection (even the ones published in 2014-2021 apparently).
@enter_delta i think we can fix this. give token-based AI access (college emails exist), have colleges set limits and pay for tokens, create rooms like skribbl for professors to even conduct ai-based assessments :3
universities pay $5+ per student for each HBR case (and a lot more for random newspaper subscriptions) but can't figure out how to provide LLM access.
competency needs to be bred at scale. Starts with giving the masses access to the tools.
