a little late, but some photos from the film festival we hosted in tokyo this august 🎞️

[LocalHost India @localhostIND]

The people who need AI the most are often the ones using it the least.

They're building an AI companion for parents and grandparents.

Meet Reca.

Building products is getting easier,
getting people to notice them isn't.

.@localhosthq website got a facelift

[LocalHost India @localhostIND]

Finding the right soundtrack for a scene is still weirdly hard.

Adithya is trying to fix that.

Introducing taan, it watches your video and generates music around how the scene actually feels.

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@krea_ai this is the Krea feature we’ve wanted for a while

film work breaks when character, costume, texture, and visual taste have to hold across a real sequence

curious if Krea 2 LoRAs are stronger for identity, style, or both

worth exploring a small creator partner pilot?

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@alexmashrabov exactly why I wanted to ask you directly.

We are building LocalHost / Cinematics Research from India: one serious AI film each week with filmmaker pods.

We are trying to get Higgsfield credits/support so these teams can stress test it in real production, not just trailer demos.

Could I DM you context?

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@amywumartin @higgsfield_ai @alexmashrabov that compute line is the real story here.

past trailers, the hard part is not generating one good shot. it is having enough attempts to keep a film coherent for 90 minutes.

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@wavespeed_ai the multi-avatar conversations are what i want to test. we've been trying to do interview-style ai films and keeping identity consistent across cuts has been the actual problem.

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@capcutapp @GeminiApp this is the part filmmakers will feel first

staying inside the same conversation
trying a cut
fixing the frame
shipping the next version

we are seeing this pressure with ai film teams in india already

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@gcwalther_x @AdobeFirefly this workflow is useful beyond portraits

we are testing firefly with filmmakers in india right now

photo to motion is where a lot of memory based scenes start to open up

curious if the ambassador route ever looks at small film teams

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@ShafinskaVita @HeyGen congrats vita

we are building a weekly ai film slate in india

heygen is already useful for a few of the filmmakers

curious how the ambassador route works

is it application based
or does the team route creators in directly

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@ephemeralariel @upscaleconf @magnific this is useful timing

we are putting together a small weekly ai film slate in india

magnific keeps coming up whenever a frame needs to feel intentional

curious if the creative partner route is mostly application based
or if someone from the team routes people in

[localhost HQ @localhosthq]

@EricKerArt quality over tricks is the right read.

the fun part fades fast.

what lasts is whether the tool lets you make the next directing decision without losing the shot.

[LocalHost India @localhostIND]

we got some of the most locked in founders from india, all building from one floor in bengaluru.

over the last few weeks, they’ve made some insane progress and built alongside other founders. hear from them.

[CreateOS @createosai]

NodeOps joins @localhosthq as an infrastructure and deployment partner.

LocalHost runs a two-month, full-time program for unconventional builders. Founders join at no cost and get access to a hardware lab, media studio, accommodation, and a focused cohort to build alongside.

The program ends with a final demo attended by leading founders and investors across the Bangalore ecosystem.

NodeOps is proud to support the next cohort with $30,000 in combined infrastructure support.

Here’s how it works:
→ $15,000 shared CreateOS credit pool for LocalHost HQ teams
→ $15,000 additional deployment support for 2–3 standout projects

If you're building with @localhosthq, you now get:
→ Free CreateOS credits to deploy immediately
→ Full-stack deployment support across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases
→ Security scanning and launch readiness checks
→ Templates to go live faster
→ Direct access to NodeOps engineering support

Great ideas should not stall at deployment.

$30,000 in infrastructure support for the next wave of builders, from prototype to production.

[Suhas Sumukh @suhasasumukh]

kicked off the founders program today. 30 founders in the room, chosen from 1k who applied.

[Suhas Sumukh @suhasasumukh]

every once in a while, i read something like this in our applications. some people just think differently.

[hardeep @hardeep_gambhir]

thank you for everything tokyo, incredible turn out today and amazing people!

grateful for everyone + the impeccable team to pull this off on a short notice.
