@__GT___@alnoz99 Really, which rule says your supposed to drive on the other side of the road directly at another vehicle and fail to avoid an accident?
Dangerous driving.
@__GT___@alnoz99 You seem to be using “priority is given not taken” to work in favour of your argument. It is not a legal position. If you move onto the other side of the road when vehicles are coming the other way, you are taking priority, not being given it. Fail.
@__GT___@alnoz99 “Established” doesn’t count if the driver could see they couldn’t clear the section before a visible oncoming road user had to take action to avoid them, or if there’s a gap they could use to give way.
It’s not first come first served.
@RichardWellings “Increase the persecution of motorists”
You really are a stump!
Motorists kill an average 5 people per day. I think the persecution is one they seem to be coping with very well.
If you feel persecuted as a motorist, drive better, or not at all.
@fluffygolala@Bikery1966 The fun thing about watching somebody paint themself into a corner is that moment where you can see they’ve committed but they are themselves blissfully unaware.
@TomDennison12@drewsnx@JeremyVineOn5 What a silly, uninformed thing to say:
Most cyclists have several times the minimum insurance a driver is required to have - from home or club insurance (or both). Usually free because of the negligible risk!
Most adult cyclists have a driving licence.
None “ride off laughing”
@petetaylor97@SeaArcherX@Skint_Eastwood1 It’s a specific offence - yes.
Also, if you fail to do a ‘should’ it can still be evidence of a general offence - usually driving without due care and attention.
@MLoopyP@SeaArcherX@Skint_Eastwood1 If you have a driving licence, it’s your duty. That’s not ambiguous.
You can check your copy is up to date; you can use a library; you can check online.
Driving is a privilege. Failure to fulfil the duties that come with it can (far too rarely, sadly) lead to its removal.
@RebornDoom@SeaArcherX@Skint_Eastwood1 Listen to the video. It’s all there.
Much as I’d love to do all your thinking for you, I have other things to do now. Good day.
