This is the direct result of Group Think at @TfL. In 2025 London recorded the highest level of serious cyclist injury since records began. Even higher than when cycle sport drove up cycling volume in 2011/12. The @MayorofLondon, @willnorman, @TfL and its board are hiding behind comparisons with 2010/14.
I'm standing for Hackney Central,
my home for over forty years. I live here, in this community, as your neighbour, not nearby, on Wilton Estate. I know this place. I live it. I will fight for things that matter and make sure that Hackney Central has a voice that truly knows it.
After being a leader on the public realm and banning A-boards it is really disappointing @hackneycouncil is to allow advertising boards on the pavements again. Bad move by the previous administration.
@AlanJi73069669@LonTravelWatch This is an average for the whole of London 24/7. It is the main reason for reducing bus patronage and the rising cost of running bus services in London. It is why they are cutting bus services.
If you thought London’s bus services couldn’t get any slower, you were wrong. Another all time low. The reason - no one in London government cares enough and all the lobbying is done by cyclists. @LonTravelWatch
Whatever @ZoeGarbett and the @Hackneygreens might say, honouring their commitment to “Divest Now” £30m from the Hackney council pension fund, let alone the £100m @HackneyPSC want them to, will be their biggest headache.
Anyone with an ounce of sense and discernment can see that @Keir_Starmer is a genuine servant of the British people: prime minister, the foremost public servant. More power to your elbow, @Keir_Starmer.
Call me old fashioned but as far as I’m concerned I am already in a progressive alliance, we call it The Labour Party. We stand up for workers, the ordinary people that make Britain great. Talk of “Alliances” with parties that hold very different values to ours is unnecessary.
Alternatively to the breathtakingly stupid idea of throwing away our landslide majority in a snap election (the polls show a hung parliament if Andy was leader), Labour MPs could do what we were elected to do and implement our manifesto with Keir as PM, and worry about the leadership and general election when we have to, in 2028 or 2029.
A new zebra crossing at the Blackfriars Station floating bus stop in London was supposed to improve safety. Instead, blind and visually impaired people are still being forced to navigate a dangerous space where cyclists frequently ignore crossings and pedestrians are left vulnerable. https://t.co/yEmSAIux58
