Yesterday was International Day of Remembrance for Palestinian Physiotherapists
54 of my colleagues and friends killed in 2 years
That’s an entire department in a lot of NHS hospitals
Yet my profession is silent. I won’t be and will continue to stand In solidarity ❤️
Today another dear colleague in Gaza killed
Abed was one of a kind, qualified in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
An outstanding clinician, manager, friend
A physiotherapy leader respected & loved by all who knew him
Huge loss to our community, he is irreplaceable 💔
On World Physiotherapy Day spotlighting the Physiotherapists of Gaza, the most committed and dedicated Physiotherapists continuing to help rehabilitate people in the most horrific of conditions.
Absolute legends of my profession ❤️

Netanyahu decided on full occupation and conquest of the Gaza Strip. This decision to expand the scale of the genocide will result in the deaths of thousands from an already starving population. Shame on the world for its inability to stop this madman and his deranged regime.
A stunning review by SPEN board member, Jim Aitken, of the remarkable book, We Are not Numbers. A collection of work by young writers from #Gaza, Aitken rightly describes it as 'the most important book of the year'. (1)

Day 27 of #30DaysForPalestine is about Honoring Palestinian Voices:
I’m sharing the poem “A Degree in Surviving Assaults” by Basman Derawi from the new book We Are Not Numbers. A powerful reflection on life under assault in Gaza.
Read it. Share it. Pre-order the book to amplify voices from Palestine.

Brilliant news! We Are Not Numbers is an instant TOP 5 Sunday Times BESTSELLER!
They tried so hard to silence the us Palestinians, but our voices are louder than ever!
I am so proud of all these young writers from Gaza who have refused to be dehumanised and silenced.
🚨Now Published🚨@BMJLeader How will history view our Physiotherapy Profession during the Israel-Gaza conflict?
For a profession born out of War & Conflict is it right to remain neutral?
