“That takes a little pressure off right there.” — @christiefishing
Oh but it piles on the pressure for the remaining competitors. Professional bass fisherman and part time closer, Christie is one to watch on Championship Sunday!
What A Whopper...! The new Tennessee state record largemouth was caught on Nickajack Lake...!
Darren Nunley of Whitwell, landed a massive largemouth bass from Nickajack on Feb. 28, weighing 15 pounds, 7 1/2 ounces and measuring 27 7/8 inches long.
The fish tops the previous record largemouth caught in 2015 and marks another incredible chapter in Tennessee fishing history.
The bass was weighed on a certified scale in Whitwell, and the TWRA later confirmed the record following genetic testing finalized on May 9.
There's no doubt in my mind there are more out there somewhere across this great state...! Way to go Darren...!

🚨 MONSTER BASS ALERT 🚨
The new record for all-time heaviest Heavy Hitters bass lasted little more than 24 hours. That’s some tough luck for @Takahiro_Omori, but we knew there was a good chance a 10-1 wasn’t going to stand very long at a place like Orange Lake. Congrats to @MichaelNealFish on the 11-pounder (his new personal best) and likely @BerkleyFishing Big Bass of Day 2 at @kubota_usa Heavy Hitters Presented by @BassProShops! WHAT. A. BEAST.

Luke is a Okie now 🇺🇸
Talk about brotherly love…
Carter Nutt has had the best Day 3 of anyone on the water. His brother Dylan, co-leader entering today, was one keeper short of a limit when he rolled up on Carter, who let him make a cast on his spot. One cast, one big one to fill out his limit, and Dylan is back in the unofficial lead. Unbelievable.
