TINUBU TERRIFIED: A LEGITIMATE DEMOCRATIC THREAT RISES AS HIS ADMINISTRATION DROWNS IN CORRUPTION SCANDALS

The Lawsuit Nobody Asked For — And Everybody Knows Why It Was Filed
A Federal High Court in Abuja is currently hearing a lawsuit filed by lawyer Johnmary Jideobi seeking to bar former President Goodluck Jonathan from contesting the 2027 presidential election, on the grounds that he has allegedly exceeded the constitutional limit for holding the office of President.
Let us be precise about what this is. This is not a civic-minded legal inquiry. The suit asks the court to declare Jonathan constitutionally ineligible to run, to restrain him from presenting himself as a candidate to any political party, and to direct INEC not to accept or publish his name as a presidential candidate for 2027. Strip away the legal language and you have one thing: Tinubu’s political machine trying to use the courts to remove a dangerous rival before Nigerians even get to vote.
Jonathan has formally opposed the lawsuit. His counsel, Chris Uche (SAN), told Justice Peter Lifu that the former president had already filed processes asking the court to strike out the case, arguing that the core issue — Jonathan’s eligibility to contest — had already been determined by superior courts, including the Court of Appeal. In other words: this has been settled. The Tinubu camp is relitigating a closed question in a desperate attempt to remove a man from a race he has not yet officially entered.
The suit has been adjourned to May 11, 2026. The clock is ticking — and so is Tinubu’s panic.
The Presidency’s Own Mouth Gave the Game Away
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, while affirming Jonathan’s “inalienable right to contest the presidency again,” warned that “any such bid would face judicial scrutiny,” and that “the jury will determine whether Jonathan, who was sworn in twice as president, satisfies the constitutional requirements.”
Read that again. The Presidency volunteered this warning — unsolicited, unprompted. No one asked Aso Rock for their legal opinion. They issued it because they are afraid. Political machines do not preemptively threaten people they are not worried about.
APC governors are in disarray over Tinubu’s expected 2027 performance. Sources indicate that the Goodluck Jonathan factor — combined with Peter Obi’s anticipated dominance in the South-East — threatens to strip Tinubu of the constitutional two-thirds geographical spread required to be declared winner of the presidential election. The mathematics of Tinubu’s survival simply do not work if Jonathan is in the race. That is why the courts have been weaponised.
The Opposition Coalition Has Changed the Landscape Permanently
On April 25, 2026, opposition parties including the ADC and the PDP declared a strategic alliance in Ibadan, with a commitment to field a single presidential candidate in 2027. Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Rotimi Amaechi, Seyi Makinde, and Aminu Tambuwal — the heavyweight champions of Nigerian opposition politics — are now under one roof.
Add Jonathan to this equation and the picture becomes existential for Tinubu. Gbajabiamila, in a recorded video that went viral across Nigeria, openly promised government backing to destabilise an opposition party from within — a confession of exactly the kind of electoral sabotage that Tinubu’s APC has been perfecting for years.
The phrase now deployed by APC operatives across social media — “Tinubu is not Jonathan” — is meant as a warning. The implication is unmistakable: that unlike Jonathan, who conceded the 2015 election before final results were even announced, Tinubu will not go quietly. That is not a democratic boast. That is a threat against the Nigerian people.
And While All This Plays Out — The First Lady Is Accused of Buying Votes With Rice
The corruption of the Tinubu administration does not limit itself to contracts, DEA files, and offshore labyrinths. It seeps into every corner of governance — including what is supposed to be an apolitical First Lady’s office.
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu recently flagged off the distribution of over 100 trucks of rice and ₦1.2 billion in palliatives to northern states — an action that critics immediately identified as crossing the line between civic generosity and election bribery. The move feeds into a documented pattern where state resources are deployed to secure political favour rather than address systemic issues. In just the last few months, the EFCC arrested 20 suspects for electoral fraud during the FCT council polls, recovering over ₦17 million in suspected vote-buying cash, with reports confirming votes were openly traded for as much as ₦10,000.
This is blatant. The presidential household is distributing rice and cash across the North ahead of 2027 while the EFCC is simultaneously arresting people for doing the same thing on a smaller scale. One law for the powerful. Another law for everyone else. The corruption is not even hidden anymore — it has become state policy.
This is the administration that OCCRP ranked as the third most corrupt in the world in 2024. Nigeria scored 24 out of 100 on Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index, ranking 150th out of 180 countries. The numbers speak. The rice trucks speak. The courtroom manoeuvres speak.
The Verdict
Tinubu’s political survival strategy is now fully visible. Step one: weaponise the courts to remove Goodluck Jonathan from the race before it begins. Step two: flood the North with rice and palliatives to manufacture loyalty. Step three: intimidate, divide, and deregister opposition parties. Step four: deploy the slogan “Tinubu is not Jonathan” as a warning to anyone who believes democracy should decide this.
Goodluck Jonathan stood in 2015 and accepted the will of the Nigerian people. Bola Tinubu is spending every instrument of state power ensuring Nigerians never get the chance to express theirs in 2027. That contrast is damning — and Nigerians are watching.

I found Mohammed in the Bible!
Poor Islamic propagandists jumping through hoops and twisting logic to try to find Mohammed in the Bible. Let me save you the trouble:
Galatians 1:8 — “Even if an angel from heaven should preach another gospel…”
Muhammad claimed revelation from an angel yet denied the crucifixion and Sonship of Christ.
1 John 2:22 — “Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist…”
Islam explicitly denies the Son.
2 Corinthians 11:14–15 — Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
Revelation 13 — the global anti-Christ system is a false prophetic religion demanding submission apart from the Lamb.
Matthew 7:15 — “Beware of false prophets…”
